Stephen and Florence Wonbenyakeh are founders and lead pastors of Alive Church. The couple are known for their deep passion for missions and pastoral ministries, something which is evidenced by their 18 years of successful church planting and pastoral leadership in Liberia, West Africa. Stephen pastored the ELWA Baptist Church in Paynesville for four years. He later co-founded and pastored LCMI Church in Monrovia for 8 years.
Stephen and Florence are blessed with two boys - Stephen, Jr. (22 yrs) and Testimony (7 yrs). They believe their transition to the US was divinely purposed - to serve as missionaries to the African immigrant community and to give back to Africa through missions and other wholesome life transforming initiatives. Through their nonprofit, Serve Africa, they take a mission team to Liberia every year to serve orphans and village pastors. |
